Nap Time
Toddler B is in the I don't want to take a nap but I still really need one stage. Ugh, I hate that stage. Princess C went through it early, and actually won. There was no way I could get her to nap. And when I could actually get her to sleep, she would wake up so horribly cranky. I'm hoping I win this one. It's not looking good for me, though. Yesterday, he stripped his bed. Today, he stripped his bed, and himself. It was really hard going in there with a straight face to discipline him, when it was so stinking funny looking! He is quiet now. I'm hoping thats a good sign, but it usually isn't.... I remember when N started not taking naps. He liked to strip as well. But he was either out of his crib, or was able to climb out, because I remember he peed on top of the dresser. Yeah, he has always been.. umm... fun.

About Me
Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 1/2 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L 1, and a new little blessing due Jan 31. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".

Dec. 1, 2007 - Untitled Comment
Our current struggle has been getting the kids to actually lay still enough at night to go to sleep. They share a room and were staying up WAY too late playing after we said goodnight to them and closed the door. So, it was go in and discipline, over and over....
It didnt matter what time we put them to bed or how tired they obviously were either!
Well, two days ago I think I finally found a solution!!! YAY! I don't know why I didn't think of it before: leave the door WIDE open! And patrol the hallway frequently. ;) It has been doing beautifully for the past two nights and the kids wake up much happier in the morning.
Mine still take naps, though. I think they will until they are 15! I need a little down time in the afternoon, so when they are older, I will still have them lay down and read so we all have down, quiet time. :)
Good luck!!
