Movie Night

Posted in Family
They boys got a Lego Star Wars Playstation game for Christmas.  They have been playing it almost everyday.  N started using a water bottle as a light saber aka, lifesaver.  Since they were already acting out the fighting, and seeing practically the whole movie in Lego form, we figured we might as well let them watch the movies.  So, that is what they are doing right now.  Watching the first movie.  Errr.. the fourth movie.  N is asking so many questions, which is driving my hubby batty.  Let's just say I know how he feels....
Besides lifesaver, N mispronounces Darth Vader.  He says Dark Vader, "because he is wearing dark things", he says.
The kids keep asking why people keep killing other people, for no apparent reason.  I hope they don't get scared tonight.  This is the scariest movie they will have ever seen.

My kids love Star Wars. Our youngest (age 5) is only allowed to see 1, 4, 5, and the last half of 6, but he gets the gist of it! lol! :) Our oldest fills him in I guess.

I have read several posts about Star Wars recently. It seems to be pretty popular right now and many people are saying it kind of starts with the Star Wars Lego game. That has happened in our house as well! Backwards marketing. Hook the kids with the fun game, then they will want to see the movie:)

I've been behind on blog reading lately, and I just was catching up a bit. So, I was wondering, about the baby and the u/s, did *you* find out and just aren't telling, or are you going to be surprised too?

My kids love Star Wars also. A friend of mine makes light sabers for her kids out of pool noodles. She cuts them in half and duck tapes one end. Much softer to hit people with. :)

About Me

Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L born May 18. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
