Hope or More Frustration
I've been waiting around all day for the deal to be officially over. I just now heard from my agent that they are still trying to work something out. Is this the miracle I was hoping for? Or are they just wasting more of our time? Our agent that is trying to help us buy a house is working with our agent who is trying to sell our house to help they buyers find someone to give them money. Also, they are talking with the appraiser to see if there is anything that can happen there, and they are still trying to come up with a down payment. So that's the deal. I would appreciate prayers for a miracle, but also prayers for patience and peace and whatever else it is that I need. Sanity maybe. Thanks.

About Me
Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 1/2 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L 1, and a new little blessing due Jan 31. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".

Apr. 10, 2008 - from Maria Pixilated
I read somewhere recently that: "God's answers are wiser than our questions." And I really believe that sometimes, when the desires of our heart are either denied or put on hold, God allows it for a reason that is beyond our understanding.
When Preston was laid off in 2000, it took three YEARS for him to find good permanent work again. We were baffled by why it took so long. Yet, later in retrospect, we could look back at the grueling aspects of that time and see how much we learned. Of course, we couldn't do that until recently. It took us to 2007 to see why the Lord allowed it to work that way, but some of it makes sense now.
God does love you. He loves you so much! Scripture is filled with accounts of His love for us. During this time of impatience and waiting and anxiety, I'd suggest reading the Psalms. If anyone knows about impatience and waiting and anxiety, it was King David, who suffered greatly and had a really rough go of it for a while. His Psalms are beautiful and sometimes put exactly into words what our heart is afraid to say. During all the rough times in my life, I have turned to the Psalms and have not felt alone anymore.
Peace & blessings,
Maria
