Morton Arboretum

Here are a few pictures from our field trip to the Morton Arboretum.   They have giant bugs there now.  We were there one day too early, so we didn't get to be "bug detectives", but we were still able to walk around the lake and read the signs.

It is such a pretty place.  And the kids just love it.  They have a maze and a ton of different things for the kids to climb on.  There is also a lot of water play.  Toddler B does not like water play.  Can you tell?

Surprisingly, he walked with hubby on the rocks.

And here I am with the 5 kids.

I'm in the middle of telling B to look at daddy.  It obviously didn't work.

I just LOVE this place! What a fun area they have now for the kiddos. Did you hike up to Big Rock and walk through "Sherwood Forest"? Thanks for the visit to my blog. I can't remember if we live close to each other or not.
Blessings,
gail

About Me

Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 7 years now. I am the mother of a 9 yo boy - D, 6 yo boy - N, 3 yo girl - Princess C, 2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L born May 18. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
