Room Set Up

Posted in Baby Stuff
Today was the day we were to close on our new house and begin moving in.  Sniff, sniff...  Instead we spent the day cleaning our bedroom and making room for the new baby.  We moved furniture, cleaned and set up the pack and play.   I must say, we made one big mess.  I don't know that we will ever be ready for the baby.  We definitely are not first timers who set everything up in the first trimester.    We have learned, however, that all the baby needs is me.  All I expect to be doing is nursing and rocking, so who needs all the other things to get in the way?  Hubby will have plenty of time to set up all the other things during his three weeks paternity leave.     I guess I'll go, I keep losing my train of thought....  Man, I still have such a long way to go!  These last few weeks are going slower than the first 8 months!

Thinking of you and your soon-to-be this morning.

I am with you -- all your wee one will need is you and a bassinet. Oh, yeah...and diapers, diapers, diapers!! My little guy is four months old and has his own room now. Has he ever slept in there? Nope. He's still in our room. ;o) No rush for our littles.

Blessings, Beckie :o)

I am trying to catch up on blog reading today after too long and I am shocked that you are not moving!? As in, ever? Wow! I'm sad for you, but glad you'll still be around!
Hey, Im going to try to get around to the RGT recommendation today too. I read your last post and it reminded me that I need to get you on that board, lol! You had the right idea, though. To start out, it helps to "park" everybody and send out only one at a time. If you are consistent, it will certainly pay off! They will learn not to keep darting off, and it will train you to be aware of them too. :) Anyway, I'll send Elizabeth a recommendation. I've been on that board for 5 years now, and it is great! It's the only one I participate in. :)

About Me

Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 7 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L born May 18. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
