A Good Reason To Homeschool

A kid on D's baseball team's sister is dating the kid who lives across the street from us. (did you follow that one?) They are 12. 12! And they are in Christian school. Not public. And the 8 year old boy across the street always teases his twin sister whenever she talks to D. He yells, "Is that your boooyfriend!?" And D just doesn't get it. "Why would he say that?" My kids are sheltered, and I love it!

My daughter took over my blog a couple of years ago. http://homeschoolblogger.com/familyof12/ I have 10 children and I'm not sure why I thought I'd have time to blog. I found yours going to a "random blogger." My eldest, Jessica, has her first significant guy friend at the age of 19. I'm thrilled for her patience and how she's going about it. They are spending time getting to know each other to find out whether or not they are a match for life. They are still not "dating" in the world's sense. It's great to watch, as she's our first and we really don't know what we're doing but we sure know some things we DON'T want to do. God bless your family and your homeschool.

Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 7 years now. I am the mother of a 9 yo boy - D, 6 yo boy - N, 3 yo girl - Princess C, 2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L born May 18. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
