What's Happening

Posted in Baby Stuff
Boy, blogging just isn't on the top of my priority list right now.  I wonder why....

Life is pretty busy around here.  My hubby gets three weeks off to help me.  Unfortunately, he has strep.  There goes my help!  It's quite difficult trying to juggle 5 kids now.  One keeps me up to the wee hours, and another wakes me up and the crack of dawn.  Luckily the older ones have been fairly good at waiting for the breakfast.   Poor neglected children....    I think I'm going to ask my mom to make a whole lot of muffins to put in the freezer this weekend.  I should have done that last week.  That would make a healthier breakfast than sugar cereal.  My mom will have a three day weekend so she will be able to help out some.  But not much.  Because she is sick, too!  Can you believe all these people?!  Getting sick when I need them most?!  How rude.  Oh well, I'll live.  My sleepy head is starting to stir.  Gonna go put the other kids to bed so I can attend to her without three heads shoving in front of poor Lil' L's head.  "Hello L"  "Hello L"  "Hello L"  "Hello L" and so on...

They all love her so much.

Those pictures are darling. And I am SOOOOOOOOOOoo sorry that everyone's sick! Oh my! That must be very difficult.

Sigh. If you lived nearby, I'd totally pitch in and help, girlfriend, but, you know, I am unbelievably far from you. : (

Oh, my goodness, she is *GORGEOUS*! And big! A big, healthy, gorgeous baby to love. *happy sigh* I can't believe I missed all the excitement, but boy-oh-boy, am I thrilled for you. Just look at those big siblings - all the love that gets gushed on #5 is pretty amazing, isn't it?

As for being overwhelmed, yeah, it's normal. I'll tell you the truth. It also gets better. (Still telling the truth, honest!) And eventually... well, you know, once we ramp up, we can hang with them all pretty well. :-)

Kiss that baby for me! Kiss those big kids for me! And have them just shower you in hugs and kisses. Congratulations! Welcome to the world, Sweet Little L!!

Love,
Dy

About Me

Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L born May 18. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
