We Are Still Alive

What have we been up to?
1.  Feeding and changing Lil' L
2.  Cleaning - We had three showings last week.  One couple saw it and then scheduled a second showing.  And second couple saw it and told our agent to expect an offer sometime in the next few days.  The first couple mentioned maybe wanting to see it for a third time.  Is is too much to hope for a bidding war?
3.  Feeding and changing Lil' L
4.  Baseball - D's team is falling apart.  They are now 7-4.  And the worst part about that is the two teams above them in the standings have awful coaches.  They are the two coaches that everyone hopes they don't get.  In fact, on one team, three kids have quit because of the coach.
5.  Feeding and changing Lil' L - um... yeah... a lot......
6.  Yesterday, we made it out to my fil's farm.  The kids got to ride one of his horses for the first time.  The last time we were there, B was terrified of the horses.  He didn't even want to step foot in the barn.  This time, I had to hold him back because he was so excited to ride her!  It was so cute.  All four of them had such huge smiles.  N, who is my most emotional child, couldn't contain his giggles.  Being the dodo that I am, I forgot my camera.  I am still re-learning how to pack for a newborn.  My step-mil let us use her camera, so pictures do exist, and hopefully I will get some eventually.
7.  Hubby bought a gas grill - finally.  Have you seen the commercial were the guy steps out on his deck to grill and there is flower floating down and lands on the grill and then the grill falls apart?  Yeah, that's our old grill. We bought consumer reports best buy - a Brinkman - from Home Depot.  It came with no directions and a dent.  The box had an important message on it, "If directions are missing call this number."  The number was busy!  And busy again later.  And busy again the next day.  So today he exchanged the grill.  Hopefully there are directions in this one.  Life seems to work that way for us....
8.  Did I mention feeding and changing Lil' L?
9.  Trying to get our van fixed.
10.  Trying to get my garden planted.  I'm almost done.  I have to plant a few more tomato plants and cauliflower plants.  I would like to get sweet potato plants, but I don't think that's going to happen.

Tomorrow I am going to set up our pool.  I am so excited.  For the next week the forecast is in the mid 80s.  Yippee!!
I woke up early this morning with the intent of blogging, but Lil' L had other plans.  She wanted to play.  I obliged.  So she gave me a smile.    Right now, she is sleeping in hubby's arms.  That is why I actually have two free hands to type with.  I have been trying to keep up with everyone's blogs.  I can read them while I nurse, but it's rather hard to comment.
I had better start my bed time routine.  Gotta feed Lil' L and hope she doesn't decide to be awake at this late hour.  She is a really good baby.  The best baby I've had so far.  Very content.
Anyway, adios!

Sounds like you are spending a lot of time with Lil' L:) BTW, be sure to change your picture when you get a chance (header), that round tummy needs to be turned into a sweetie pie!

Don't forget to add "Rest and Recover" as many times as you added "Feed and Change". :) Everything else can wait, right? :) I'll be there in a few months, too....
See you Monday. :) (If not Sunday.)

Sounds like you've been busy;) I can't imagine having a newborn in the house again...it will be a 4 year gap so I'm sure it will be quite a change- but one I look forward to!

You sure are keeping busy besides just taking care of baby;) It's nice to see an update!

About Me

Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L born May 18. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
