We had our first tick experience today. I had never seen one before. Man, are they creepy! My mom was petting the dog when she felt something. When we took a look, sure enough, it was a tick. Ugh... I'm creeped out just thinking about it. Gross... Ticks aren't the only yucky things around. There are some nasty spiders out here. And biting flies. And little flies that look like bees. And other bugs that I don't recognize. Oh! And Japanese beetles! We have trees completely covered in them! I didn't realize how prolific the bugs are out here.
