SNAKE!

I am way behind posting all the wildlife we see here, but I thought I would skip ahead to what I saw yesterday.  I was outside watering my flowers, when I spotted him:

I just happened to look at this bush because it was half dead and I realized that that wasn't all bush that I was looking at.  I started yelling, "UHHH... GUYS?!?!  There is a SNAKE!  AHHHH!!!!   Come look!!"  And everyone started clamoring about yelling, "Where are you?" and, "Can I see it too?"

Ugh.  Freaky.  The only other time I saw a snake in the wild was when I mowed it over as a kid with the lawn mower.  I can in the house screaming and crying that I mowed a snake and my mom laughed at me.  But then we had to get the neighbor to come over to dispose of the body because my mom wasn't about to touch it either!

Yikes! I had a dream last night that I was bitten by a snake. I have no idea why. I was trying to kill it and it wouldn't die. It kind of weird that you would post about a snake. We have never found a snake around here, just lots of frogs.
and HAPPY BIRTHDAY again!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a big snake fan either! It was good reading about and catching up on some of the happenings in your family. Have you seen your raccoon/badger again? The wildlife around here is most active in the early morning. If you're up around dawn, you can catch all sorts of creatures! We have seen bobcats, deer, coyotes, raccoons, skunks, and a huge bird with it's wings all stretched out, just setting on the electric pole! It was neat to see it perched like that!

About Me

Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L born May 18. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
