Ice Storm

I think I'll ease back into blogging slowly. It's been a very busy few weeks. I'll start with posting pictures of the ice storm we had. It was so gorgeous, but terrible to drive in. Our road doesn't get salted and we were stuck in the house one and off between ice storms, snow and freezing rain. It was pretty cool at first because this is our first country winter, but it got old pretty fast. I'm ready for spring now.

The poor birds had a hard time eating through the icicles. Here is a woodpecker.

I did get some amusement out of watching the birds land on the ice and then the wind would blow and slide them across. Quite comical, but I can't get that as a photo.

Wow...that's a lot of ice! I dislike I don't like ice at all (though it is pretty on the trees). We are still waiting for some snow. Our couple of 1/2 inch snowfalls back in November and December got our hopes up....

Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 1/2 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L 1, and a new little blessing due Jan 31. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
