McDonald's Fun

Posted in Family
My brother, sil, and two nieces flew in from California to visit us for two weeks.  They are used to warm weather and being able to go out and do things.  We tried to find somewhere fun to go, but most things around here close for the winter months!  If that doesn't tell you winter is bad here, nothing will.  My brother finally got cabin fever and suggested we all go out to the McDonald's play land.  Of course, that's not exactly right down the road.  Would you believe the nearest McDonald's is 20 minutes away?  Same with Walgreens.  I didn't think there was anyplace without one on every corner.
The kids had a blast and it was nice to get out of the house for a little while.  I vowed to take my kids back someday when they really needed some exercise, although I know it will not be so pleasant with less adults to help me out.

Our nearest McDonald's with a play place is 25 minutes away. There is another McDonald's that may be a little closer (like maybe 20 minutes instead of 25), but it doesn't have a playplace.

About Me

Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 1/2 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L 1, and a new little blessing due Jan 31. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
