Goats

Some lady in Wisconsin can say to me, "I've got your 'goat'". HA! On Thursday, me and hubby are driving up there to pick up our two pregnant does! We are all excited over here. All week we have been working on getting ready for them.
The first thing we needed to do was take down the old rusty fencing and barbed wire. The chickens helped.

Hubby's dad and step mom came out to help. Hubby's dad started a fire to clear away all the overgrowth. There was so much, the goats would have gotten lost! Hubby was quite worried, being a city boy and all.

I thought it was very cool.

And the finished fencing:

After we finished the fence, we went to work inside of the barn making a kidding pen. We will finish that up today.
And that's a small part of what we have been up to lately. I'll post picks of the goats when we get them!
WOOHOO!!!!!

Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 1/2 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L 1, and a new little blessing due Jan 31. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
