"He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD
require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to
walk humbly with thy God?"
~Micah 6:8~
I was cooking supper tonight and ruminating on God when I shot up this prayer:
"Lord, please make me a woman that reflects you, give me wisdom and a meek and quiet spirit. And God, could you make it quick?"
Yes, I really did ask for it QUICK! I mean really I needed that prayer answered like years ago!
God is not concerned with our comfort but our character. So true! He is too faithful and concerned to "worry" about our comfort. His goal is our holiness. Thanks for the reminder!
I can so relate to your prayer. I have often prayed such prayers and then wondered why I am struggling so much. It's because I prayed to be stronger, more God-like, patient, etc...and growing can be painful.
I pray that God answers your prayer and that He gives you the strength to endure your growing pains!
that's not a silly prayer. A silly prayer would be more like dear Lord please let me grow an extra set of arms so I can hold this baby down while I lift his legs and wipe his bumsy
:) I like your blog, not only is it gorgeous, your entries and tremendously entertaining.

Psalm 37:23-24 (New King James Version)

And He delights in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the LORD upholds him with His hand
