Encouragement Along the Way

Photobucket ~ About Me ~
Hi, welcome to my blog. I will be sharing our experience as we homeschool 5 boys - our struggles, trials, prayers, and blessings. There are many challenges along the way for any homeschooler and I hope you are encouraged by what you read here. We use Sonlight and My Father's World as our main curriculum. Thank you for stopping by and comments are welcomed.

Sep. 21, 2007 - Day of Atonement - Join me in prayer and celebration

I love the Jewish people.  I have always had a heart for them since I came back to the Lord.  I feel a common bond with them because we serve the same Lord.  My desire would be for all Jews and Gentiles to come to know the Lord.  On the eve of Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) I am asking you my sisters on the web to join me in praying for the children of Abraham.  On this holiday many Jews all over the world will gather in synagogues to seek forgiveness of their sins.  They have been fasting and preparing their hearts for this day.  What a great time to join in praying for them.  Join me as I lift up a prayer for them:

"Lord, I ask you to open open the hearts and remove the blinders of your people so that they can experience true forgiveness through the precious blood of Yeshua, your son.  Lord, may they find true peace in a relationship with you through Yeshua.  I ask these things in my Savior's name, Amen

Thank you for joining me in prayer today for Israel.  I would encourage you tonight to gather together as a family and pray for the salvation of not on the Jews but your family and friends.  Pray for the countless missionaries who are serving our Lord all over the world.  Lift up  our brothers and sisters in Christ who are suffering for their faith that they would remain strong in the Lord.

What about us?  We are called to be holy and set apart for the Lord.  Today is a great day to examine our hearts before the Lord and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the areas in our lives that are not lined up with God.  It is also a time of celebration because we no longer need a yearly sacrifice.  The priest no longer needs to enter the holy of holies to offer the perfect sacrifice because our high priest offered himself for us.  Praise his holy name!  Hallelujah...thank you Jesus!

Have a blessed evening,
Tammy

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace  8 which He lavished on us.  Ephesians 1:7-8

Sep. 22, 2007 - When will Israel receive the Atonement?

Posted by Anonymous
Hi Tammy,

I came accross your blog this evening, the night of Yom Kippur, and I was touched by your prayer for God's people.

I feel compeled to share some scriptural truths with you that I find exciting and that fill my heart with joy. God very plainly reveals his love for Israel and his merciful plans for them and all humanity.

When will Israel, the Jews, partake of Christ's Atonement? Will they? Many Christians believe they won't, that it's too late for them, but Paul says something quite different, and almost startling:

“And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.” Romans 11:26, 27, KJV.

I don't know too many Christians who believe what Paul says here, or at least they take exception to the literal meaning of these verses. But this message is heart and core of what God prophecies in almost every book of the prophets.

I encourage you to read Ezekiel chapters 36 and 37, but these verses in chapter 36 sum up the meaning of Yom Kippur, and reveal when God's people will enjoy their Atonement in reality:

“And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen. Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel. Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.” Ezekiel 36:23-33, KJV.

When the Messiah returns to take his throne as King of Kings, he will accomplish all he as promised his people, and all the nations will see it. Your prayer, Tammy, will come true, and, indeed, "All Israel will be saved."

Blessings in Yeshuah, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Aug. 21, 2008 - Thankful Thursday

Iris at Sting My Heart is focusing on peace today. Everyone longs for peace - peace in their homes and in their countries. As Iris pointed out one definition of peace is: freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts or emotions. Another definition, which encompasses the above definition is: Strong's Concordance 7965 - Hebrew Shalom ..... A word study in the New King James version for SHALOM says: Completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord.

I am so thankful for the peace of God. It is more than being free from conflict on the outside...it is true freedom from conflict on the inside. So many times we appear to be cool, calm and collective but inside our emotions and thoughts are raging. I am so thankful that we, as believers, can have shalom even in our inner being. When the storm is raging call on your Prince of Peace and He will quiet you with His peace. Thank you Jesus for that peace...it is a strong testimony of your work in our lives.

I am also thankful for my MIL and her sister. They have offered to take the boys for a day so that I can have some time to myself.

I am thankful that my dh's new job is going well. The Lord has given him peace, wisdom and strength each day.

My prayer for you:
The LORD bless you, and keep you; the LORD make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace (shalom). Numbers 6:24-26

Aug. 14, 2008 - Thankful Thursday

"Ah Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You..."Jeremiah 32:17

I am thankful there is nothing to difficult for our God. If He can create the heavens and the earth through His great power then we can be sure He is able to accomplish mighty things in our own lives.

I am thankful for my husband, who has worked tirelessly this week training in his second job and continues to accomplish work in the ministry. I am thankful for his dedication to the Lord and to his family.

I am thankful for my children. They are each a unique gift from the Lord. They may bring challenges into our lives but they are also a huge blessing.

Thank you Iris for hosting the Thankful Thursday meme. If you would like to know more head on over to her blog and check it out. You will not be disappointed.
