~ About Me ~
Hi, welcome to my blog. I will be sharing our experience as we homeschool 5 boys - our struggles, trials, prayers, and blessings. There are many challenges along the way for any homeschooler and I hope you are encouraged by what you read here. We use Sonlight and My Father's World as our main curriculum. Thank you for stopping by and comments are welcomed.
The Lord is indeed good and His mercies endure every morning...great is His faithfulness!
1. Lord God, I am thankful for your faithfulness to me and my family. God's faithfulness has always amazed me. He has proven Himself to be faithful even when I was lacking in my faithfulness to Him.
2. Lord, I am also thankful for your grace because it is what saves us and gets us through each day.
3. Lord, I am thankful for the husband that you have given me. His desire is to love and serve You, Lord. I never thought 15 years ago that we would be serving You together. I am thankful we both chose this path for our lives. You also blessed us with 5 wonderful sons.
4. Father in heaven, I am so thankful for your provision. You have answered so many prayers concerning our finances.
5. Finally I am thankful for the beautiful weather yesterday. I was able to get outside and clean up the yard. We have little violets blooming in the flower beds and some of the other plants are coming peaking out of the ground. I also noticed that the lilac tree is beginning to wake up! :-) I LOVE the smell of lilacs!
I posted my thankful list on THL and wanted to post it here as well!
I'm thankful that God in His Mercy saved a wretched no goodnick like me!
I Thank Abba Yahweh for Who, What, Why, How He is and for being so Holy/Kadosh and Righteous and Powerful and Good. I Thank Him for giving us Yahshua/Jesus and for making the Filling/Leading of His Holy Spirit Available for/to us second by second, day by day forever--I LOVE that and am so thankful and grateful!!!
I thank Elohim/God for actually talking to me ALL the time--it's miraculous and Wonderful beyond decription!
I Thank Abba Yahweh/Father God that I'm NOT ashamed of the Gospel, nor of Him and I'm GLADLY counted as a "fool" for Christ sake--that He consume my every thought and word and that I AM so heavenly minded, I'm absoultely NO earthly good at all!
I'm thankful that Yahweh/God has Called me and Chosen me and given me an unquenchable thirst and an ravenous hunger for Him, His Word, fellowship with His people and His Way.
I Thank God He Keeps me and His saints and even our Faith in Him is from/of Him!
I'm Thankful that El Elyon/The Most High God has shown such mercy and favor upon me and my family to show us that He has a Calendar, Holy Days and Feasts & Sabbaths that I didn't have a clue about in all of my 30 years of Walking with Him, until this summer.
I'm thankful that He has given me the most handsome, generous, godly, best friend hunk husband who loves me more today (with ALL of my many yucky qualities and quirks) than he did when I was a skinny young thing. I Thank God that God has opened the eyes of my tremendous looking and behaving manly man to be filled with His Holy Spirit and to treat me like Christ Treats the church.
I'm thankful that The Lord in His Wisdom waited until my husband and I were up in age to start giving us baby, after baby, after baby--and that our children are the nicest little saints (not angels...but saints :o) in town!
I Thank God that our children love what we love and hate what we hate--I count this as a miracle (as I do all of my other thankfulness to god listed above and below :o).
I Thank God that He has given me a love for people, and has taught me that I am WRONG about so much stuff...more wrong that right in areas that I just KNEW I ws right about and I THANK GOD He shows me daily how wrong I am and How RIGHT and Righteous He is.
Lastly, I thank God for you asking this question and for the THL, which is a place with such a sweet, gentle and godly spirit! I thank God that we (His saints) KNOW that ALL things work together for GOOD to those who love God and are CALLED according to His Purposes.
I could go on and on, because I'm so thankful for everything, good, bad, ugly, cute, nice, nasty--everything. I count it all joy--not because I feel like it, but because the Holy Spirit that dwells in me does the work :o)
What a sincere Thankful list. Have a blessed weekend and Thank you for your prayers. Oh-BTW- we are still listening the Keys for Kids daily ;-). The kids and I all gather around the my pc, and listen to the story and the key for the day. This is a great way to start our day together. Thank you so much for sending us that way:)
Be blessed,
Stacy
Yes - His faithfulness is wonderful. Not only in the bad times but also in good times :)
Oh - I haven't seen/smelled a Lilac tree since I left Germany 17 years ago. I love them. The signs of Spring are wonderful.
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this past week.
Therefore encourage one another and build
each other up... 1 Thessalonians 5:11b
Aug. 21, 2008 - Thankful Thursday
Iris at Sting My Heart is focusing on peace today. Everyone longs for peace - peace in their homes and in their countries. As Iris pointed out one definition of peace is: freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts or emotions. Another definition, which encompasses the above definition is: Strong's Concordance 7965 - Hebrew Shalom ..... A word study in the New King James version for SHALOM says: Completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord.
I am so thankful for the peace of God. It is more than being free from conflict on the outside...it is true freedom from conflict on the inside. So many times we appear to be cool, calm and collective but inside our emotions and thoughts are raging. I am so thankful that we, as believers, can have shalom even in our inner being. When the storm is raging call on your Prince of Peace and He will quiet you with His peace. Thank you Jesus for that peace...it is a strong testimony of your work in our lives.
I am also thankful for my MIL and her sister. They have offered to take the boys for a day so that I can have some time to myself.
I am thankful that my dh's new job is going well. The Lord has given him peace, wisdom and strength each day.
My prayer for you:
The LORD bless you, and keep you; the LORD make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace (shalom). Numbers 6:24-26

I am thankful there is nothing to difficult for our God. If He can create the heavens and the earth through His great power then we can be sure He is able to accomplish mighty things in our own lives.
I am thankful for my husband, who has worked tirelessly this week training in his second job and continues to accomplish work in the ministry. I am thankful for his dedication to the Lord and to his family.
