For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of
God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the
Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it
is written, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH."Romans 1:16-17
May. 1, 2008 - Thankful Thursday
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21
First, I want to say I am thankful for my husband and the time we had together last week. I am thankful for my mother in law and her willingness to stay with the boys. I am also grateful for my children and their helpful attitudes while we were away. There were no problems while we were gone and they had a good time.
Second, my heart is overflowing with thanksgiving for what the Lord has done through Jesus Christ. I want to praise God for making me a new creature. While my husband and I were away we studied our birthright as Christians. It was an amazing study & a wonderful time of reflecting on what the Lord has done for us. Even though most of it is beyond my comprehension - I accept the fact that He gave me new life. He loved us enough to become sin for us so that we could be reconciled to God. It is amazing to think that we are no longer the "old" person we were before coming to Christ.
Praise God for reconciliation, justification, sanctification, and regeneration...
You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy - they shout for
joy, yes, they sing - shout joyfully to God, all the earth; sing the glory of His
name; make His praise glorious.

65:8,13; 66:1-2)
