The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and
the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and

May. 8, 2008 - Thankful Thursday
My thankful post today is a tribute to all you women out there even if you do not have children of your own. I believe the Lord has placed it in the heart of every women to mother. I think we all have a natural instinct to care and love those around us. I am sure we all remembering playing with our dolls when we were little or wanting to hold that new brother or sister and help our moms care for them. So even though you may not have children of your own you can still mother a child...
Thank you moms for the hours you spend taking care of your children: wiping runny noses, kissing them when they fall down, rocking them late into the night, washing clothes, cooking meals, spending time reading and playing games with them...the list could go on and one...If you are a homeschool mom the hours you spend teaching them and preparing lessons etc.
Praise God for moms - for the moms who know they can not do it alone and run to the Lord for His wisdom, guidance, love and grace...thank you for your dedication to the Lord and the children He gave you.
I also want to thank the Lord for my mom and my two mothers-in-law. I thank my mom for the hours she spent caring for me and my sisters, the prayers she offered up on my behave and her willingness to love me in spite of how I acted. I am thankful that my husband's mother and step-mother did not give up on him as he went through his turbulent teen years. {{{{HUGS}}}} to both of you! I also thank the Lord for my sister-in-law who was so thankful for a little brother that she could mother. :-) I am thankful for her prayers for him. Love you sis!
...Her children rise up and bless her; Her husband also, and he praises her, saying: "Many daughters have done nobly, But you excel them all." Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. Proverbs 31:28-30
You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy - they shout for
joy, yes, they sing - shout joyfully to God, all the earth; sing the glory of His
name; make His praise glorious.
