Home Binder

So do YOU have one?

Can I see it?

I'm doing a before/after of mine...because it needs a bit of work.

Wanna see some great ideas and some great binders already put together?

The best site I've seen on this topic is Keeping the Home.  On her left hand side bar you can see ALL the great pages and examples SHE has in HER binder..plus if you look further down on the left you can see MANY other women's binders...there are so many...and so many great ideas!!

The one thing I have learned about my binder is I have to do what WORKS for me...not what works for others, and not what LOOKS nice.  I had a binder once that LOOKED great...but just wan't very useful for what I needed.  So each woman's binder should and will be different!

Ready to see what mine looked like this morning??

What can I say..it is well used...and REALLY needs a pretty cover!!

My inside cover:

Holds things I am working on, need to think about, or consult hubby on.  Here is an Azure Standard order...I've never ordered things from there, but am considering ordering my grain/flour/sugar and things from there.  Also a new Angel Food Ministry church started in our area so we are going to try it this month and see how taht works.  Also there are some index cards that I had my daily routine on (like Laine).
Next in my binder is a copy of Laine's Letter "Why I Love Homemaking".
Next is a copy of Laine's Proverbs 31:15 The Morning
Next, is a copy of God's Presence in Your Home from the Above Rubies website...
And then a copy of Your Highest Vocation by Nancy Campbell.
Next is finally something that is MINE...
Our daily schedule on a spreadsheet:
Followed by a few chore charts... One is our daily morning/evening chores and other chores for the boys on days when necessary:
and
Then I have a copy of my Zones.  This is a mixture of what I picked up from Fly Lady, Laine's Letters and Large Family Logistics.  (I don't think you can acess LFL site at this point...but there were a lot of great ideas on here).  So my Zone schedule is my mixture of all 3 of those places.  This is definitly one of those places where many people have great ideas, but after trial and error YOU have to find what works for YOU.
Next is a neat list of check list of chores i found on Clean heart, Clean Home:
Followed by a list of common meals we use:  (for menu planning on the 'fly')
Next is my Yearly Bible Reading Schedule that I use.  This is my 3rd year and I really like this schedule.  I found it on The Teaching Home:
Next is a print out for me of my GOALS for 2008
Next is some Baby items...some things I received in the mail about how much food at what ages, and schedules, things like that, along with a few notes I took from Baby Wise.
Next is my list of "treasures in the pantry and freezer"--
Next are 2 book lists of books I'd like to read:
One list is general housekeeping, frugal reading
The other is reading regarding "homesteading"

Thanks for sharing your binder! I am (so far) a binder failure. I am great about keeping a binder for our finances, one for important docs, one for my dh's Army/VA stuff, etc. but for some reason keeping one for homekeeping just doesn't work for me. I'm really good at putting one together ... it's just actually using it that gets me.

I've enjoyed all of your posts lately! Very encouraging to me!

Blessings ~ Diane
