Yes, I think I am ready to SHOP....

Well first I wish I had a smiley that did the "Happy Dance"...because I just scored the DEAL OF THE CENTURY!!  I just made a deal for Volumes 3, 4, and 5 of Weavere for a GRAND TOTAL of $75!!!!!   WOW!!!   I really attribute this to being obedient in what God wants for OUR home.... as I debated and explained it wasn't my (flesh's) first choice....but it does fit like a glove for our family.

Then yesterday I went thru some of my grade level check lists to see where the boys would most likely be by next school year and I think this is going to be our shopping list for the upcoming conventions.

Zachary-  Grade 2

- Weaver Vol 2/Vol 3  (Bible, Social Stuides, Science, Language Arts, Creative Writing, Art, Wisdom Words, Health)

- Horizon Math- Grade 2

-Sing Spell Read and Write (complete this program)

-Explode the Code- 3 and 3 1/2

- Copy Work for Little Boys (this has always caught my eye...i think this year we'll go for it)

Joshua - 1st Grade

- Weaver Vol 2/Vol 3  (Bible, Social Stuides, Science, Language Arts, Creative Writing, Art, Wisdom Words, Health)

- Horizon Math- Grade 1 (will only need the student books, can re-use teachers book)

-Sing Spell Read and Write (continue this program)

-Explode the Code- 1 1/2 and 2

- Copy Work for Little Boys (this has always caught my eye...i think this year we'll go for it)

It is so nice that once I receive the Weaver volumes I will not have to purchase any more EVER (if I choose not to) as Vol 1-5 can be re-used again and again at different grade levels.

It is also nice that the Sing Spell Read and Write is non-consumable and that will last me several years and children.

If only there was a non-consumable MATH!!

When is your convention?  Are you attending?

Our BIG convention is in May...but there is a smaller one nearby in April...and the Alpha Omega (Horizon) company offers 20% off in April (+ free shipping if bought at a convention) vs. 10% off in May.  So I'm not sure what we'll do. 

I do love all the speakers at our BIG convention....Voddie Baucham, Jr  is going to be there!!  That is reason enough to go!!

Oh MY! I would love to hear Voddie again! He is such a godly man with an incredible way of voicing the truth of the Word!!

I don't attend conferences. I just can't justify the $$ and time it takes when I order all my stuff online. We are using Sonlight as our spine (History, Geography, Science, Extra Reading), Learning Language Arts Through Literature, Bible Study For All Ages, How Great Thou Art, Rosetta Stone: Latin.

This is very similar to what we are using this year, but since it is working SO well, I don't want to try something different, especially with #4 coming.

I love your yearly to-do lists. I would like to do this for myself. Since I am feeling so much better, I believe I will tackle that this week.
