Slowing Down--- Pruning Back

In the small amount of time I've been browsing thru some blogs-- (I find my attention to read right now is just not there--- I can hardly sit and read anything right now----weird...because I love to read)

Anyway-- every now and then I find such neat connections in the blogs--  the themes are all the same at times and I like that-- lately I've read a lot about SLOWING down-- and Pruning back our TO DO lists---

Having a new baby anyday-- and a 1 year old and 2 school age children--I really see no option for me other than to SLOW DOWN.....  Our only outside commitment this year will be Friday Homeschool Co-op and Gym class (at the YMCA)--- they are back to back and all over around 1pm-  It may even look like daddy takes the older 2 boys and I stay at home with the "babes"---- but that is our ONLY outside commitment and it feels great!! (other than the 5-6 Dr' appointments in September-- HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?)

I think I may have even stumbled upon a new schedule tweek-- last evening while cleaning up from canning-- to hold the boys off a few more minutes from dinner I asked for their help cleaning their assigned rooms (living room, dinning room) and putting away their laundry and towels.  Normally that would've been their morning chores-- but this morning when I came down stairs for my QT-- I realized those chores were ALL DONE-- now we can start on some school work right away before daddy gets home-- and have some of that OUT OF THE WAY.  Normally school work is done after lunch-- but lately I've NEEDED a NAP in the afternoon and that has gotten in the way of school--- HMMMM  we may just try this new "system" evening chores vs. morning chores.......

Anyway-- enough of my rambling-- wanna read more on SLOWING DOWN??  Here are some great entries (IMHO)
