Egypt to Texas
We have been doing a small study on Egypt. I wanted to study one foriegn country and had thought maybe Mexico or China. Hubby said Belgium. We both agreed on Egypt. We have spent the last 2 weeks on the history of Egypt but not too in depth. Now we are going to start talking more about the modern culture, people and what is going on in that area now. Monday we are going to finish up with an Egyptian dinner. I have found some recipes online.
After that we will take 2 weeks off. Then we will start on Texas history. Texas is a neat state. I may even include in our study the history of homeschooling in Texas. Back in the 80's and early 90's they went after homeschoolers in Texas. Now Texas is a very homeschooler friendly state.
