Son's New Room
Hubby and I spent the last 5 days remodeling Son's room. We hadn't planned on doing this. But on Friday we went to Ikea in Houston and found a loft bed in the clearance section. It was too good of a deal to pass up. We decided that if we were going to move a new bed in we might as well paint and as long as we were painting we might as well replace the window.
So the wall paper came down and the ancient wall paper behind that had to be scraped off. I don't think I will ever wall paper again, just because it is such a bother to take down.
Hubby did the window. I didn't have to bother with any of that. We both painted with kids trying to help. We took down the ceiling fan and installed a light. We didn't think a ceiling fan would go well with a loft bed even though according to Myth Busters you can't cut your head off with a ceiling fan.
We set the bed up Tuesday night and moved all the other stuff back into his room Wed. It looks really nice. Son is pleased and the cat loves it.
Now I get to tend to the rest of the house that has been neglected for 5 days. Daughter feels neglected too. I keep telling her we haven't forgotten about her, that her turn will come one day.

Redecorating
Posted by BarbaraFrank
Redecorating is a lot of work, but it always looks so nice when it's done. I'll bet you're already coming up with ideas for your daughter's room. There is so much cute girl stuff available. :)
Take care,
Barb
