Hump Day

We made it to Wednesday.  This week seems to be moving really slow.  Potty training has been put on hold.  He just isn't ready yet.  No matter how ready I am.  lol.  We are gonna try again in a month or so.  I am just so ready to be done with diapers.  He will be 3 in June.  I mean.... come on now.

I have been printing lots of worksheets off the internet.  There are so many free resources on the internet for Joshua's age.  I love it!  I need to restock on some of his supplies.  He is getting low on crayons (he has broken most of his), glue and I need to get some more construction paper.  SO, I am planning a shopping trip soon.  We are in the midst of a winter storm right now... so it will be a couple of days before I can get out and about.  I don't like driving in freezing rain and snow.

Well... that 's about all I got for today.  I am still trying to wake up.  Joshua is putting some puzzles together.  I will be so glad when we can get outside and play.  lol

OKAY... We Are Really Over It Now...

At least, I hope so!   My family got over the "crud"... but I got it again.  UGH!   I thought I had strep throat.  I couldn't even swallow.   I ended up missing church Sunday because I felt so bad.  But, today I am feeling much better.  Praise God!   There is something blooming around here that I am allergic to.   I can go outside and feel myself starting to stop up.  The pressure starts building in my nose and around my eyes.  This is our first Spring here.. so I'm not sure what it is that I am allergic to.

On a happier note... Joshua has learned to count to 10!  He is also counting objects.  He still isn't interested in the potty, though.  ):      I'm trying to be patient and not rush him... but I am so tired of diapers!  He is a big boy and he is already in size 6.  There is no where to go from here but to DEPENDS!.  lol.  He has been in size 6 since he was about 12 months old.  They still fit.. but I don't think they will fit until he is 3.  He is getting taller, so maybe they will last another year.  **FINGERS CROSSED**

Have a blessed day!

Friday... Yea!

Well... my whole family has had ( and still has) an upper resperitory (sp?) viral infection.  That's what the doctor called it, anyway.  It just call it "the crud".  We can see the light at the end of the tunnel, though.  Joshua's fever broke today and my eye isn't swollen shut anymore.  Dh has gotten enough energy back to cook supper.  It hit us hard.

Not much going on on the homeschool front.  Just reviewing numbers and letters on a daily basis.  Joshua is really picking things up well.  I have found that he is a musical child.  By that, I mean that if something is in the form of a song... he retains it better.

Tuesday's Ramblings....

There isn't alot going on here today.  I am working on getting Joshua familiar with the potty.  I am going to start the dreaded potty training in a week or so.  I wanted to wait until he was closer to 2 before I started.  But, he is starting to understand so much now days.... so I decided to start when he turns 22 months.  Which will be the 16th of this month.  Wish us luck!!  lol.

Right now he doesn't have any interest in using it.  He will sit on it on occasion...but he acts like it is just a chair.  lol.  I have heard that letting him run around naked will help in training him... but I don't know if I am that brave.  lol.

We are working on learning colors today.  He is picking up some of them pretty well.  He can say "purple, yellow, blue, red, green and black"... but he recognizes green, black and purple.  Pretty good.

Have a blessed day!

Sherry
