It seems that everyone is different. I mean some homeschoolers base a lot of their work with science. Some with math. Others grammar. I guess without knowing we all have our favorites and incorporate them into our homeschool whether we intend to or not. I am not a big fan of math, nor has it ever been easy for me to calculate and figure out formulas. But it is the one subject I insist upon my children having no matter what. I incorporate it in almost all things of our daily lives. I have a friend who does the same with science. God is so good

Some of our favorite snacks are as follows: Little Debbies, Rice Krispie Treats, sandwiches, yogurt, cereal- basically anything fast and easy to tide over til the next meal:) Having 5 children, four of them 6 and under, nutritious just means having convenience and the blessing of God giving us anything in the first place. I do try to keep it to yogurt and sandwiches (p,b &j or ham 'n cheese). I realize substance is better than emptiness, but sometimes a "sweet treat" hits the spot in more ways than just a hunger quencher

Day 3 of our menu:)
Wow! I can't believe I've only had time to write only the menu. I Chronicles 28:9-10 have really been sinking into my heart. God is truly great and worthy to be praised.
Okay. Yesterday for breakfast I had oatmeal, instant break. drink.
Mini pancakes for the children. They also had waffles for snacks.
Zac had cereal.
Lunch time was all about pizza, pizza bites, cut up apples, hot pocket, & a chicken pot pie. I had a ham/cheese sandwich with chips.
Dinner was salsa steak, shells, Texas Toast,& cereal for Phinehas and Josiah.
Today I go to get an ultra sound. I am so excited!!
It is just routine. But, I love hearing the heartbeat and trying to figure out who exactly is taking up space in my body.
I do pray that God, according to His will, will allow us to know the sex of the baby. I shall continue to marvel at His working hands either way.

Our menu: continued:)
Yesterday was no vacation day for us. We are still finding our way through a new agenda.
For breakfast I had oatmeal, an instant breakfast drink, and cranapple juice. Hezekiah ate grits, Josiah and Phinehas each had cereal. I'm thinking Zac had cereal. The baby, my Lydia Anna, had some of my oatmeal and her brothers' food. Sometimes she is so picky.
It was such a gorgeous day outside yesterday. The children played a lot outside, from morning til afternoon.
Zac and Josiah each had a frozen pizza for lunch. Phinehas and Hezekiah had pizza bites, & Lydi-Bug ate a bit of chicken noodle soup along with some potato chips I had with my ham and cheese sandwich.
For snacks we had Little Debbie snack cakes.
Dinner was a leftovernight of ham for the children since they don't care too much for the chili. There was applesauce, corn on the cob, jumbalaya rice, and peas. My husband and I ate chili, corn, rice, and cornbread. The kids all ate the cornbread, too. We call it corncake and they tend to be more inclined to like it:)

Menu for this wonderful, God-given week:)
I decided to start from yesterday, Sunday. Yesterday I fixed an egg/cheese english muffin with canadian bacon for myself, my children either had cereal or eggs and grits. Because of such a dear friend in Christ, the children usually get homemade sausage biscuits on Sunday mornings in the nursery at church.
For lunch my dh, whom at this moment I have that love dovey feeling all over for, made sandwiches, cut up apples and served chips for us all. We have been going by fast food places on the way home from church to help me out on Sundays, but I think I liked the sandwich idea even better.
For dinner my husband took us to one of our children's favorite restaraunts: Ryan's. They love the selection, as do I, and the balloons to take home. I especially liked the display of desserts last night. This pregnancy just seems to be filled with too many junk food callings.
For snacks: oatmeal cakes and juice for the children in the nursery (as well as sausage biscuits), the cakes and juice went along with Mrs.Jen's SS lesson. Apples and chips with the sandwiches.

What Should I Do?
It is hard for me to stay on any kind of straight track. I got started on a new routine
that lasted for 2 days. I am a joyful mother of 5 beautiful children. 11, 6, 4, 3, 17mo. . Another blessing is on his/her way in May. My 11 yo is coughing, but only at night. It sounds like allergies. But who knows? The doctor, but we can't get there with all the children not being sick and since it's not so critical we have to wait for my husband's allotted time. Plus my 11 yo already has another appointment at 3:oo this afternoon with his podiatrist. My spiritual life is not a it should be. Yet, with all my anxiety I do feel I need to pick up again and move forward. "Be anxious for nothing...", "Take heed now, for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong and do it." I will pray, I will take heed and find my strength in Him to "do it."
