Yeah baby!!! We will finish getting out of the old house today! I should explain - we were living in an old crusty rental farmhouse, decided to buy another home, were waiting on financing to go thru....so we decided to stay in my mothers house temporarily (with her blessing - it's just up the road from our rental and she is in California indefinitely, so her house is sitting empty). Anyway, the whole deal fell through, so we are back to square one in our house hunting. *sigh* At least we aren't homeless! But it is frustrating, because now things I thought we could unpack in our new home in a couple weeks are stuffed in under other things...so now, I have to go digging through boxes and bags to get stuff out that we need, like clothes, homeschooling stuff, MY spices & cooking gadgets... it's a real pain. Anyway, we are getting the last of our things (incl. appliances & living room furniture) out of the rental house today, and then I am doing a nice deep cleaning and we are finally DONE! Until we find another property to buy, do a deal and have to move our stuff again - which would sort of be Phase Two of moving, see? I ordered new print cartridges for the printer, so this afternoon we can get back on track with schooling. I am a big printables fan, and also the internet is great for the older ones to do research and online assignments. The next big couple of hurdles this week are: get my van fixed (yes, ladies - I am without wheels because my van has something wrong, maybe only the battery, maybe electrical, but we have not had time or money to figure out) and as we live out in the country, you can imagine - I am going stir-crazy!!), get my husband's truck out of shop and return rental truck (he squished the front end hitting a deer while going 55mph, so we have a rental while his truck is getting fixed - thank God for insurance). Maybe next week we can start settling back into a routine - that would be nice. It has been pretty chaotic around here for a while now. Well, we need to get rolling, so here's some food for thought: "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ." - Col. 2:8 "It is not important how long we wait; it is important how we wait!" - Pastor Jim Mamanua
