My day

As I am missing my kids, my husband and annoucing that we are expecting our 6th

child in December, I get a phone call today from someone I barely know and was informed of her concern of the tax burden she will suffer by my large family..... WOW!?

Any how kids are handling the trip quite well.. The oldest (7yrs) has his notebook and has been taking notes of the trip.. I am not sure what he is writing-- can't wait to see it--- but as he is a calender fanatic-- he always knows the date ie--- Friday June 2nd 2006-- etc. ! He keeps asking my husband what the date is.... I guess the trip messed him up... LOL....

I can't believe someone would say that! I have four kids, and my favorite is "Don't you know what's causing that?" I got fed up and decided to start saying "Yeah and we like it" LOL

Hats off to your husband for such a major undertaking. I thought my husband was father of the year when he flew home from TX to CA with all 4 of ours - driving accross the country with 5 that small puts your husband in the running for father of the century.

People at my husbands office have let him know they think we are socially irresponsible for having so many kids - and this was just before our 3rd was born. Their concern stems from the belief that there are a finite number of resources and we are taking more than our share. As we drive or fly around this country and observe all the wide open spaces, we just have to laugh - I think people who are concerned with over-population must not get out much.
