In preparation for "Earth Science Day" at  the Maine State Museum, we did a little study of the earth's layers.  Bubby is holding his "model" of the earth's 3 layers: the core, mantle and crust (He took a little artisitc license with the colors). 

 Here is a "volcano" (Obviously a frozen volcano, rather than a molten one)
