We went outside the other day, after it had been raining. The kids put on their rain boots and dug out their pails and shovels. I was in the garage, getting the stroller for the baby when I heard Bubby say what I thought was: D@#n. I was just about to scold him for using a word that is not allowed when I heard the rest of what he said, "Let's make a dam in the puddle". Oh, I did hear correctly, but it wasn't a bad word, but in the context of a very "creative project". They set to work. After about 30 minutes of mud & fun, they did build a very functional dam. They managed to stop the flow of water through the puddle. I was VERY proud of them! |
