Ugh ugh ugh!!
We have the flu!
Ky is on the last few yuckies of it, but Lori started just this morning and I started just this afternoon. BLECH.
Lori had a fever of 101, body aches, head ache and GAS like you would NOT believe. UGH, she is the child of a sailor!
I currently have a fever of 102, which is WITH meds in my system. I also have body aches and a head ache.
Soooo, I called my sister and told her step-dad that she needs to reconsider coming. 8-( I was SOOOO excited to see her. Well, I guess since she lives so close and it's a cheap train ride, I can send her train tickets and expect her to use 'em. Maybe I'll keep her Christmas present hostage??
OHOOOOO, even though I am sick....my house is CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN (just don't look at the fact that I did NOT vacuum) all except for the livingroom, which is just tidy! Why??
Because Allen gets here tomorrow morning!! WOOOHOOOO!!! The kids and I are very very excited!!
8 full days until Christmas and 9 wake ups! I can't wait!
Just as good, 7 1/2 days and 8 wake ups until our family Christmas outing! This year we are going to see the Pacific NW Ballet's Nutcracker!!! http://www.nutcrackermarch.org/home.html Here you can see this year's Nutcrackers! The kids know that we are doing something, but have NO idea what.
We (the kids and I) have been reading Maurice Sendak's verion of Nutcracker (he did the pictures AND did the PNWB's sets and costumes). It's the whole story by ETS Hoffmann but translated by Ralph Manheim, which I just love. I like the Grimm stories that Manheim translated. They are daily begging me to read another chapter out of the book. At the rate we are going (with me sticking to the 1 chapter a night) we should be done by Tuesday. Which should give me just enough time to read it through again, though more than one chapter a night. I don't think the kids will allow me to read anything else.
So, these stuffed animals keep appearing downstairs. Hmmm, I toss 'em back up the stairs, and they come back down. I finally figured out that our dear Assani cat is carting his "catch" around. Sigh, between kids and cats I can't keep up!!
