My Wonderful Hubby

God blessed me with such a wonderful hubby. We have been blessed with 8 ½ years of marriage and 2 beautiful girls. Our 8 years have not been easy. We have had many struggles in our marriage.

We were unmarried when we became pregnant with our first daughter. We did not start off the way we should have but God had his hand on our life and our future marriage. We rededicated our lives to Christ and decided that we would develop our marriage and raise our children centered in Christ. We have had many struggles and fallen short many times but we stand sure in our faith.

9 months after we were married my father was murdered. It was one of the most challenging things that I have ever gone thru. My hubby never left my side. He held me for many hours. He took care old our 6 month old daughter. He even did a lot of the cooking and cleaning. His job even let him take off for a week. When the funeral came and I couldn’t do the eulogy he stepped up, held my hand, and did it for me. Our relationship could have grown apart but it only made us stronger.

Over the years we have gone through some very trying times in our relationship. We had to throw the word divorce out the window and lean on Gods promises.

Once our relationship with God and each other was back were it was suppose to be we got pregnant. We had been trying for 4 years. It was a very difficult pregnancy. My hubby did the bulk of the household things because physically I couldn’t. He always did it with such a sweet spirit. God always made a way. We grew even stronger together. Then 6 years and 2 months after the birth of our first daughter we had our second daughter. What fun it has been since then.

At the beginning of this school year my hubby gave me one of the best gifts. He gave his approval and support to homeschool. God is good and answers all prayers. My hubby and I prayed and God was faithful. God has supplied everything we needed for homeschooling. It all came together in a weeks time. 3 weeks into the school year we pulled our 8 year old out and WOW, how awesome it has been. We have our struggles but we get past them and move on.

Words can not express how much I love my hubby. He is very thoughtful of all our needs (he has to be with a house full of girls). LOL!!! He leads us but also talks to me and gets my input.

I just wanted to let everyone know how much my hubby means to me. I think that if we, as Christian women, in a world full of feminism, would show the world how much we love and support our husbands, WOW, what a difference it would make. Don’t just love your husband at home. Love him in front of everyone. Talk about your husband with only love. Make sure your children see you huge and give sugars. What a difference that will make in our children’s marriages one day. What a difference it would make if we begin to love, support, and encourage our husbands the way that God intended us to.

Beautifully written! I agree with you. You've been through some overwhelming challenges, Praise God that He has brought you through (and continues to bring you through) to where you are today.

BTW, how come I'm not listed as one of your friends in your sidebar? :-(

I was popping in to check our your blog and read this. How lovely, what an awesome tribute to your husband. It sounds like he truly has been a great guy. It is refreshing to see a woman so devoted to a Godly life. Thanks for that.
