Dec. 3, 2008 - Crayola Art Studio Review

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!!!
Can you tell we like this product??? haha Core Learning Ltd. published Crayola Art Studio. Crayola Art Studio is an easy to use digital draw and paint program, developed for Core Learning's award-winning corefx creativity software. It is recommended for ages 4 and up.
The features include:
- 12 realistic art tools including tempera paint, acrylic paint, watercolor, chalk, crayon, oil pastel, colored pencil, marker and more
- Select from hundreds of pre-set colors or mix unique colors on digital palettes
- Easy-to-use complete range of drawing tools
- Progressive undo and redo features support experimentation
- Several Hundred editable art images to supplement artwork and learn digital editing techniques
- Customize the interface with selections of backgrounds, icon sizes and tool configurations
- A special Begin to Draw level helps beginners learn basic computer drawing skills
- The software is pressure-sensitive when used with a mouse pen or stylus that is
enabled for pressure-sensitivity
It comes on a cd with a User Manual and an Activities Guide in .pdf format. It has two levels: one for Begin to Draw and the second for Art Studio. The Begin to Draw Level doesn't have as many features as the Art Studio Level, so it's great for little ones who don't need as many options to choose from. Once you start playing on the Art Studio Level, you will be amazed. It is a ton of fun. My kids ask daily to play and create with it. The art tools are definitely realistic. The watercolors are awesome! They blend really nicely. One of our favorite things to do is to right click on the page (having a background other than white) after selecting a stamp which leaves the "cut-out" image and removes the background color.
You can download a 3-day demo here. I definitely recommend this product!! We all like playing on it.
I will be adding to this review later concerning the demos that were sent with my package.
