Awww Man, I Missed My Big Day

Posted in Silly Stuff

Yesterday was Middle Child's Day.  Can you believe I missed it?  Sigh...I expect Big Brother Billy and Little Sister Laura must have mailed their cards late because they haven't gotten here yet.  And poor Mary Evelyn...we forgot to wish her a happy day as well.  But the good news for her is that today is Left Hander's Day, so she still has reason to celebrate.  Unfortunately she has to share this one with Little Sister Betsie, who also seems to be left handed.

Who makes this stuff up anyway?

Mostly I just talk about what Rachel and Mary Evelyn are learning, but Rose (the weinee dog) is also very studious.  Here's proof:

I'm Too Young for This!!!

Posted in Silly Stuff

Last night as I was getting ready for bed, I found -GASP- a gray hair.    Sad, but unfortunately true.  Jason got a real kick out of that because he had already told me I had some gray hair, but I ignored him.  If they're on the back of my head, I can pretend they're not there!  But this one is right where I can see it.  I lovingly reminded Jason of his receeding hairline.

It's this adoption.  I had no gray hair until we started this process.  Even Mary Evelyn bringing all sorts of critters in the house didn't make me gray.  (One day I'll have to tell you all about the day she brought in the dead chipmunk she found.  Or the day she tried to give a worm a bath and he went down the drain.)  Anyway, this wait has done me in.  I sure hope we get the referral soon before I get more gray hair!

PE class

Posted in Silly Stuff

This is what we call P.E. here at the (Last Name) Christian Academy for Girls.  We're training for a future Olympics...which sport do you think would be a good fit for Rachel's obvious talents?

About Me

Hello. My name is Jennifer and I am the very blessed mom of three little girls and the wife of a very loving husband. Our girls are all learning at home with me, but the oldest two are the ones that require lesson plans. (The littlest one is our busy toddler, adopted from China last year!) Thanks for stopping by!
