Well, we are back from our trip. It was nice, but I am always glad to be home.
We got to Myrtle Beach about an hour and a half before Jason had to speak at his conference. While he was gone, I actually did part of a scrapbook page! (Fall, 2001...only 4 years behind now! ) And I also managed to sneak in one of those baths I had planned. When Jason came back, we went out to eat, thanks to the nice folks who invited him to speak!
The next day we got up and drove to Hilton Head. We were blessed to have another two free nights of vacation! This was also work related, but a totally separate thing. Jason is planning a conference next fall, and we were previewing the place where it may be. It was very nice and we joked a lot about how out of our league we were! (We faked it rather well though. )
We had a fancy schmancy dinner our first night there. I decided it wouldn't be cool to ask for ketchup to go with my steak...although I wanted it! To make up for the cost of that meal, we ate pimento cheese sandwiches in our room the following night. (Told ya we were out of our league!!)
On Friday morning, Jason was off looking at the property for his upcoming conference, so I finished Rachel's baby album! Ta Da!!! It goes up to her 3rd birthday. (nevermind that she'll be 8 in a few months...the point is the book is FULL! And so is Mary Evelyn's!!) AND now that I did a little scrapbooking, I'm in the mood to do a little more. So I think I'll get a new album and start with 2006. I just can't bear to work so far back anymore...it's too discouraging since I can't remember what to write for the captions! We'll forever refer to 2002-2005 as the lost years. I'm okay with that.
When Jason got back to the room (and after I showed off my scrapbooking achievements!) we went out to lunch. Real fancy this time...McDonald's. THEN, we went to see NARNIA!!!! We loved it! It was the perfect time for us to go since babysitting was a non issue. We had already decided that Rachel and Mary Evelyn would be too scared to see it in the theater. They will probably enjoy the DVD in a few months. That way, they can control the lighting and the volume. But Jason and I loved it! It's so nice to see a movie with a good story, no blood and gore, no bad language, and no sexual immorality. We give it 5 stars and two thumbs up!
Oh, and I got in about 2 more of those baths in Hilton Head...in my fancy schmancy bathtub!
So now we are home and I have a lot to do to get back to normal. Is that possible with only two weeks until Christmas?
