leafed in Ponderings

FOR TODAY January 26, 2009
Outside my window... it is VERY cold, -19 or -2 for my American friends. It should be a nice day though. Last night we got a fresh balnket of snow, so the ground is fresh and white and clean. Inside the pellet stove is keeping up warm. :)
I am thinking... of my friend who is expecting her first baby, she is now 1 day past her due date and very nervous.
I am thankful for... a warm home and fuzzy socks! :) Also for my family and friends.
From the learning rooms...the normal, pace work and book reports..
From the kitchen...tacos for supper, soft one beause that is what my hubby likes :) I might even make something for desset, what do you make for dessert that goes with tacos?
I am wearing... a tan jean skirt and a pumpkin yellow sweater. Also my slippers. .
I am creating... a peaceful home for my hubby.
I am going... nowhere! It to cold, though tomorrow I will venture out to pick up my copy of "Fireproof" :).
I am reading... Daedly women of Ontario ~ Cheryl Mac Donald. It is a history book about womena nd crimes commited before the 1900's and how they were punished. Different but interesting.
I am hoping... it warms up just a bit :) and to get some laundry done today.
I am hearing... music in the background and the younger girls cleaning their room before school starts.
Around the house... the never ending pile of laundry, cleaning and general clean-up.
One of my favorite things... watching a movie, working on cross-stitch and drinking a hot tea or hot chocolate.
A few plans for the rest of the week: meeting for the homeschool co-op we are planning, watching "Fireproof" (many times ;) ),the regular cleaning and organizing.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...

On Saturday some friends came over to scrapbook and we had lots of fun making cards and doing pages. My oldest daughter made these cookies and they were wonderful!
