We are now almost 7 months (the 28th) into our paperwork adoption.

Anyone who thinks because the ICPC paperwork arrives in your state that the children are almost home is just a fool! Call me a class A1 fool!

Now the ICPC paperwork has been sent BACK to the TX!!

Our adoption agency's contract - different than ICPC, but VERY needed - has expired the end of Aug. However paperwork to renew was sent in in July. BUT!! the paperwork had pages included that were no longer valid. The valid pages were not sent. So when the paperwork reached the understaffed office in TX it was reviewed and set aside to deal with later!!!!!

Supposedly the new forms were emailed to our adoption agency yesterday. If so they would have been completed and sent back to TX. So now how many more days, weeks, or months will we need to wait to hear something?!

I am way more weary than before and "my" children are growing and changing before I can even get to meet them. I have missed 3 birthdays now and a fourth in November if they are not here by Thanksgiving.

I've been wondering what's up. I'm sorry for the delays! But these, too, are in His hands! He is still in control!

Isn't that how it always is. I am glad you continue to update us on how it is going. What a great testimony to your commitment to these children already. I will be praying for your family and hope things will pick up speed.
