For this week's assignment I thought it would be fun to share our dinner plans for the night or if you're organized enough for the week. You can include pictures if you desire. Also tell what your family likes to drink, if you have desserts or not. If you want to then take this assignment and let all the children in your life make dinner for the night. Please add your favorite verse for this assignment as it might be an encouragement for someone else. This week's assignment is short and sweet so have fun with it.
Well, for supper tonight we had chili. Nothing special or fancy, just plain old chili. My boys are figthing the flu, so they weren't necessarily interested in eating anything to "fancy". Actually, my youngest had tomato soup, and my oldest son couldn't even taste the chili.
We usually just drink ice water with our meals, and we don't always have dessert. I do try to have a nice dessert once in awhile.
Here is a look at our meals for the coming week:
Monday ~ Marinated Beef & Broccoli served over white rice
Tuesday ~ Chicken drumsticks, potato wedges and corn
Wednesday ~ Roast Pork, mashed potatoes and a vegetable
Thursday ~ Salisbury Steak, rice, and a vegetable
Friday ~ Steak Soup
Saturday ~ Roast Chicken, mashed potatoes and a vegetable
Sunday ~ Spaghetti and garlic bread
A favorite verse?????? I can't think of one right now that goes with this theme, but if I think of one, I will come back and post it! :o)

I wish I could be eating at your house. I'm so sick of the same old meals, but my husband is a picky eater so we stick to a very generic menu. Maybe you could post your recipe for steak soup sometime. Sounds great.

Chili sounds great! We had "whatever" for our dinner tonight but only because we're working on remodeling our house and got caught up in all the busyness of the day. Your menu looks Yummy! and I've got to get back on a weekly menu plan again. It saves sooo much money on groceries and I don't have to dread going to the store so often. Sorry to hear your loved ones are sick, mine were last week too. Hope you all are feeling better soon. Thanks for sharing your dinners with us.

tonight I made chicken breasts with a hoisin sauce on the barbeque, roasted sweet potatoes, steamed asparagus, rotini pasta and mixed the asparagus and pasta with a thin hollandaise sauce. It was so hot here today! strange for April, but we sure enjoyed ourselves!
