2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 1/2-2 lbs. lean round steak, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 cup chopped onion
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 cups beef stock or broth
2 cups water
1 bay leaf
4 sprigs fresh parsley, chopped
2 sprigs celery leaves, chopped
1/2 tsp. dried marjoram
1 1/2 cups cubed peeled potatoes
1 1/2 cups sliced carrots
1 1/2 cups chopped celery
1 can (6 oz -185 g) tomato paste
In a Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat; add oil. Brown beef and onions. Combine flour, paprika, salt and pepper; sprinkle over beef and mix well. Add bay leaf, parsley, celery leaves and marjoram. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, about 1 hour or till tender. Add potatoes, carrots and celery. Simmer, covered, for 30-45 mins. or till vegetables are tender. Stir in tomato paste; simmer, uncovered, 15 mins. Remove bay leaf before serving.

It sounds kind of like beef stew, but with better meat. Yum! I'm going to try this this week. I appreciate you sharing your recipe.

this sounds YUMMY... when I saw the recipe I thought "oh I am going to make htis tonight" as I had steak pulled out BUT, I am missing other ingredients.. but, Its on my list of things to do :)
