Giving Thanks ~ Monday
Posted in Just for Fun

Being from Canada, we have already celebrated our Thanksgiving. This year was rather "tough" as it was our first Thanksgiving without my Dad being here. He passed away in July.
One thing I am thankful for is the fact that I was brought up in a Christian home for the majority of my life. My Dad loved the Lord with his very being. What an example he was to me. Dad was very concerned over the fact that none of his brothers and sisters knew the Lord as their Lord and Saviour. He witnessed to them faithfully. Even though I don't believe any of them ever accepted Christ, I will always remember how my father prayed faithfully for his siblings.
So, even though my "Thanksgiving Day" has come and gone, I am thankful for my Father ~ the best Dad in the whole world!

May God fill the sadness in your heart with sweet memories of your Dad. I will pray for you. My Aunt lost her husband in July also, so they are going through the "firsts" without him. It is hard, I know. Thanks for sharing about a God-filled Dad. I'm thankful for mine too. :o) -jules

That is a sweet tribute to your Daddy. Thanksgiving is a time to treasure memories, and I am glad you have many happy ones of your father.
