Very Last First Time

I love this book.  The Princess and I read/studied this book a week or so ago while we were all in Canada in Geography.  It's about a little girl living in Canada who is going to wak under the ice and collect mussels by herself for the first time.  We used the unit study at HSS.  You can find additional lesson ideas in Five in a Row Vol. 1.  In this unit, The Princess and I studied Canada, Inuit people, animals that live in tide pools, and memories of "first times".
