I graduated from high school in 1981 but I can remember a lot of what is listed (Shot through the heart ...) thanks, I'll never get that out of my head! I absolutely loved the 80's and wish we could return to that time. Loved the music and the clothes (well, some of them!) I miss Ronald Reagan. Life seemed simpler then or does every generation think that of their adolescence? We have Karate Kid on video and still enjoy watching it. Thanks for the run down memory lane!

I also enjoyed reading the list and thinking about things I had not heard of for so long! Like Not! Jelly shoes! Love that reminder! I buy short socks because I can't stand the long ones unless I push them down! :) Of course now the I live in Florida you only have to wear socks three months of the year!
This was fun! I am thankful to say that I am not singing the song though! :) I never learned this on purpose!

Thanks for the laugh! Eva

Just happened upon your blog and LAUGHED and LAUGHED!!!

My husband and I were just recently showing our children how we used to "peg" our pants (fold them tight) and our oldest daughter just stared blankly and said... "... but... why??..."

And yes, we still say "What you talkin' 'bout, Willis?"

HAHA!! SO FUNNY!!!

Thanks for the laugh. I'm passing this one on.

Blessings,

Oh, Cheryl! My kids are standing here asking me, "What's so funny, Mom? What's so funny?" I laughed hysterically through this. Especially the ones about the Bon Jovi song!!! I DID sing the words as I read them and I was STILL singing it at the end of reading the list. Too funny! I'm going to send this to my husband.

Thanks for the laughs!
