The Smell of Fire
Yep, I'm busy makin' myself nuts by going through grammar books for my older two girls. (my other one is learning to read still) I have two different books for each of them...workbooks that is. I bought one from Walmart and the other from a local stationary store that carries a TON of homeschool stuff. Anywhooo...both books cover some of the same stuff, but am trying to combine both books for lessons. You know...marking which pages cover which things...such as pages 50 - 56 covers comma usage in one and pages 30 - 33 covers it in the other. This way, I know exactly how many pages I have total to use for "comma usage". I've been doing this for each grammar topic in the books...tedious. But I really feel this will keep me more organized in this endeavor. That way, I'm not flipping through workbooks looking for appropriate lesson pages for whatever I'm covering that day. Plus, I'm trying to evenly divide it up for the remainder of our school year. Ugh. Yes, my head is getting fuzzy already...that faint little smoke smell...is it burning?! Not quite, but getting there! ha ha! The Geography was so much easier. It was already divided into lessons...enough for the second half of our school year! We will only be doing it a couple times a week, not daily. So this works out GREAT!! Yippee! Well, off to grammar though. Gonna try not to 'burn myself out'.  |
