The Journey Home
Today, just after 1pm, my hubby called from Michigan. His grandmother had passed peacefully, journeying Home, a few minutes prior. He needed a shoulder to cry on and I was happy to let him. We talked for a few about the joy she must be experiencing at that very moment...finally meeting Jesus! Yes, we are all sad to lose grandma, but we are happier about what she is experiencing now. Her Savior. She is also now with her hubby and a lost child that she never got to meet here on this earth..the one she referred to as "her little girl" (you see, she only had boys here but was POSITIVE the one she lost was her girl). Grandma's funeral will be held on Thursday sometime...arrangments are still being finalized.

Sorry about your loss, but what a blessed assurance we have as Christians that "good bye doesn't have to be forever." I feel sorry for people who have no belief to carry them through these hard times. It is just sad for them. God's grace is sufficient to meet our needs in times like these. When we look at others and think "wow, I couldn't go through something like that" it's because they have been given grace to help them through. We don't think we could do it because we aren't the ones getting that pouring out of grace needed bc we aren't the ones needing it! Hoping the celebration continues!
