Here We Come A Caroling...
We were peacefully eating our dinner this evening, when all of a sudden we heard a loud knock at our front door! It sounded 'urgent', since noone I know usually knocks that loud or fast. Sooo...I quickly got up and ran to the door. I opened the curtain to look who it was, and it was a small group of children holding candles!  I yelled for my four girls and the hubby to come to the door. I opened it, to the sounds of the children singing Christmas carols. How wonderful! I haven't seen anyone go caroling in a neighborhood around our town since I was in grade school (with the exception of my friends and I when I was a senior)! What fun! We stood at our front door enjoying the music, as I wished I had some hot treat (cookies, cocoa, etc) to give to them. We thanked them for their wonderful little voices and Christmas spirit for going around caroling and that we thoroughly enjoyed it! They were all smiles. That made my whole week...the girls' too. I wish it happened more often. Sounds like a plan for next year!
