Well, I finally got my computer desk cleaned off. I can actually SEE the desktop now! For months now, my desk seems to have been a magnet for everyone's junk...mine, the kids', the hubby's. You name it and it was on my desk. I simply cannot focus and work on things when I have clutter around. To me, it's very distracting...to the point of confusion. I HAD to get rid of the junk. So...I've been up for a number of hours now cleaning the abomination. Fortunately, the girls' homeschool papers I already had in a neat pile in a cubby to the side...so it was untouched by all the madness. I did, however, have to resort and relabel all of my hanging files that I had set aside for homeschool. I don't know what I was thinking when I first arranged them, but they are much better sorted now. All the girls' schoolwork to this point in the year is stashed away properly in them now. Ahh! Much better. I have most of their artwork in folders as well, though some of it wouldn't fit in these sized folders and had to put them elsewhere where they won't get damaged. I also got some black printer ink this past week and some paper so I could print up my homeschool tracker info so the hubby can downgrade my compy from Vista back to XP. This is so my eldest two girls can play with their dolls online. He plans on backing the rest of my files/photos up and downgrading on Wed or Thurs...his days off this week (he has a rotating schedule). I can't wait, cause I'd like to redownload Homeschool Tracker to record all my stuff again. It's a pretty thorough program and like it very much. Well, I am completely whipped. But I still have things to do and phone calls to make also. Man, I could use a nap about now. That's what I get for being up half the night. Oh well. Laters y'all! |
