Free Books!

We now have our tax refund and I'm divvying it up for what we need, for various things.  I had planned on buying all the novels that are to go with next year's curriculum, not even thinking about the library! What was I thinking? So, tonight I sat down and hopped on our local library's website. I began typing in titles and getting more and more excited to find each and every one! Out of 23 novels, only 3 were unable to be located anywhere. That's a LOT of savings for us! Woohoo! So now, I only have 3 novels and one workbook/coloring book to buy. So much cheaper than what I had been considering. Glad I checked! They will only be using each book approximately 1-2 weeks at most. The library is an obvious choice, since we can check them out a month at a time. Man, saving all that money has put me in a VERY good mood! ha ha!

I wish our Library allowed us to check out for a month. We only get two weeks. For the thicker novels my highschooler is reading, this is not enough time. But for my younger ones, this is a great idea and 2 weeks would probably suffice.

Thanks for the idea/reminder!
