We awoke today to bad news. Meanwhile...my eldest two are writing paper's for language arts. Fun. It's like pulling teeth! Nah..not really. I just get irritated correcting the same mistakes over and over again. (run-on sentences, repetitive words/statements, grammar, punctuation) But hey! It's par for the course of 'homeschooling mom' right?! I'll get over it. I got a good laugh last night, while checking out 'the Family Man's' homeschooling website for Dad's. Yes, I sneak on over and read his articles...he cracks me up!!! He's my favorite writer on the "Homeschool Minute" that I receive in my email each week! I found some products on his site that I want to order, including his 'homeschool cartoons'. They look hilariuos!! So, that will go on my extensive wishlist. ha ha! Well, I still have a few lessons to do with the younguns! Laters!! |
My girls' choir concert was cancelled. Well, I shouldn't say the actual 'event' was cancelled...just our choir's traveling there was. Evidently, the company the choir was getting the tour bus from said they would not drive the choir in this weather. So, we did not go. Bummer. But at least we had a company that was willing to look out for the safety of it's passengers! (I was worried about the drive, when I heard about the storm coming in last night) Yes, my girls were dissappointed not to be singing with Daniel Rodriguez again, but at least we are all safe at home. We have other concerts coming up though that are closer to home.
