Yesterday was a terrific day! Yes, it started out foggy and wet, but it ended...well, the same. ha ha! But the in between part was great! Our family, along with six others, went to the Creation Museum for a co-op field trip! I must say that it was a blast! The only disappointing part, was that it didn't last longer. I snapped over 300 pics of our lil adventure. However, the BEST parts of the museum were the areas we weren't allowed to have cameras/video camers in. Those would be the planetarium and the 'men in white' show. Those were AWESOME!!! Just a lil tidbit of advice for all who HAVE NOT been to the Creation Museum...if you go to the Men In White show, bring an umbrella..a tiny one. All I have to say. Nuttin more! My girls had a blast too! Even though it was supposed to be a field trip, it was more like a vacation trip. I think they only read a few of the caption signs with the exhibits. The rest of the time they were 'oohing' and 'awwing' over everything and forgot or didn't bother to even read things. The hubby and I kept reminding them to read stuff, but by that time we were behind the group. Hmmm...am wondering if anyone else's kids read anything either. It was so fabulous though, for us to go through this spectacular museum and not have to re-explain stuff to them from a CREATION perspective!! NOWHERE will you read how things were formed millions and millions of years ago! In fact, EVERYWHERE it says just the opposite!! It was so wonderful...so breathtaking! In every inch of that place it proclaims the wonder and awesomeness of God and his Creation! In nowhere else in that place was it more evident than the planetarium. The display they put on in there almost had me to tears in a couple places. To realize the vastness of God's creation (in my own meager mind)....I can't put it into words. You will have to see it for yourself. I am so glad that my girls got to see it and to see the rest of the museum. We definitely want to go back sometime when it's not so crowded...and yes, it was PACKED! (evidently, others are just as grateful to have a museum that has the TRUTH portrayed)
