Cleaning Break
Today we have taken a little break from school to clean house. Yes, it needs to be done...badly! I have a bday party to host tomorrow afternoon for one of my girls and at least need to have my lil abode presentable. If it were just me here, you'd probably have to shout to find me. Where am I?! Look for an arm sticking out of that mountain of laundry...that would be me! I've caught up on the dishes (had pots/pans that couldn't fit in the dishwasher) and have finally made a dent in that laundry mountain. Whew! Next in line....FOLDING the mountain! ha! This is where having four girls helps out a LOT! And yes, I have a small reward planned for their hard work, later tonight. This 'reward' also serves as a good incentive to keep those clothes folding. And yes, I am helping them (well...not this second, since I'm blogging and they're eating). After folding...I'll pretty much have everything clean. I REALLY wish I could clean the carpets. They desperately need it. However, the house is a rental and would probably need permission for whichever cleaning option we'd want to do (preferrable DRY..since this berber type stuff mildews with wet cleaning methods). Also, any extra money we have right now is being blown at this very moment on our van. The hubby is out working on it with our next door neighbor. I forget all that he said was wrong with it (I was in a sleepy stupor when he told me), but I know it's costing a LOT...close to $400. That is a lot for us...and most other people I know. But if you don't think it's a lot, you are more than welcome to share the wealth! Just message me and I'll send ya my address to send the check to! ha ha!  Anywhoooo...if he were to take it to the shop, we could tack on about another $300..according to the shop. Seeing as this is rent check, we don't really have that option. I'm praying he is able to fix the van, as it sounds hard. But I'm not a guy either, and they always seem to figure this stuff out. My man is really good at fixing vehicles so I shouldn't really worry at all.  He is the one that has done most all the repairs on our vehicles over our twelve years of marriage...lucky for us. So, I'm confident that he'll get the job done. In the meantime, I'm going to dive into some clothes (picture a leaf pile...only less crunchy) !  Catch y'all later!
