An Old Friend

Earlier today, while on the net checking out some Grace Brethren stuff, I ran across the name of one of my old youth pastors. It mentioned him having a blog! So, of course, I had to click into that link to check out if it was in fact him. Yep! It was! I read through some of his blog entries of the last few days, and they reminded me of the many times he spoke to our youth group at church and at camp during the summers. Man, I miss that. He was such a good speaker! He has such a gift for reaching the heart of all those he speaks to...youth and adults alike. He was always so upbeat and full of energy. You couldn't help but catch that burning desire for God from him. He was contagious. The best memories of my youth are of sitting around the campfire at church camp, listening to both goofy stories and serious messages from this man (along with my other youth pastor). He also helped me to understand some very 'spirit-related' events that had been happening in my life.
